Santa Cruz Skateboards has been making “cruisers” long before “longboarding” was synonmous with that one brand from Southern California. These “cruzers” are the real deal. Santa Cruz just released a gang load of new one’s, here are wreckreation’s favorites:

Art by the master, Jim Phillips. Two graphic choices. Straight outta Egypt. Comes available as deck only, wall hanger, or as the catacomb complete. Either way, it’s a win win.

Jammer Big Strip. 8.9 x 35

This is like the board being skated in the first photo above (regular jammer strip), but this cruzer re-tooled a wee bit bigger. Comes with Bullet 140s and Road Rider 65mm wheels (78a’s). Good setup, bro.

The art department over here at NHS decided to throw an art show. They invited the whole company to participate. We all got together to drink beer, eat free sushi, chocolate chip cookies and drink pabst blue ribbon.

The first Ron Whaley pro model since his limited Creature model. The tallest dude in skateboarding is back with a new shred stick.

Ron had this to say, “It’s an 8.2. Based on my ’92 pro model on SMA. I had a station wagon in high school. My parents drove it forever, both my sisters drove it, then I got it. I got on NHS and covered it in stickers. It always had a file cabinet in the back we would skate. The first graphic was before we made much on computers, so it was Mojo or Nate making it by hand. Someone bought paneling and a reflector to make the board and took a photo of it. It was Owen’s idea for the new one. The original one was my idea.”
