So, the holidays are over. And what did we learn this Christmas? Still piecing that one together. To give is better than to receive? Well, I wish we could receive some snow. In the meantime, here’s my festivus in photos.
Just a skier walking out of the woods. On dirt.
That said, Alpine Meadows was a lot of fun. You can get pretty rad and experimental with low snow conditions.
Snakes in the grass.
Where, oh where is Scooby Doo?
We’ve located shaggy.
He’s at the beach.
Until the snow falls, this video of Tahoe is really really cool.
If you haven’t already heard, yobeat.com is the best online snowboard rag on the planet. proof? just go to their fucking awesome site. They also make some of the best softgoods in the world, too. Pictured above is the mountain s/s and the mountain crew neck sweatshirt. Not sure if these will make you a better snowboarder, but they will make you a better looking snowboarder and isn’t looking the part all that really matters these days?
Brooke’s spirit animal is definitely not a wolf. He hasn’t taken any peyote and watched the sunrise yet, either. His spirit animal is probably a flounder. He’s a pisces. So he has to be some sort of fish he imagines. Rad dude keeps getting radder. He’s gonna be a rad dad this springtime too, so world watch it out. Brooke can most likely be found at: NHS, Derby (sunday afternoon’s only) and occasionally he can be spotted at Malone’s in Scotts Valley. Carry on, friends.
Shot the 2nd music video for Will Haven off the Voir Dire album, for the song When The Walls Close In. Kerrang has listed Voir Dire as one of their top 10 albums of the year and they got that fucking right for sure. We had a fun time chasing Adrien round the woods here in Santa Cruz. We filmed the video over in Nisene Marks State Park. Interesting fact, Nisene Marks is the epicenter of the 1989 earthquake that you might know well from destroying the Oakland Bay Bridge, The Embarcadero Freeway and ending a game between the A’s and Giants over at Candlestick. You’ll get quite a few weird looks shooting a video in a state park when your chasing a dude around covered in fake blood who is welding a pick axe, not afraid to use it and other tomfoolery that you’ll see when the video premieres.
Expect “When The Walls Close in” to premiere the 2nd week of January.
Until then, watch the first video off of Voir Dire. Held To Answer.
The NHS sales troops made there way to Santa Cruz last week.
Geoff Rowley was in attendance showing off his new Flip HKD pro model.
You wish your graphic mob grip tape job looked as good as this.
Insane Krux Posse was up in the house. Holla at your downlows.
Jellis likes magnums.
Jason Jessee is good with a weapon, too.
Smiles for days. Been a great year here at NHS. Hope it’s been a great year wherever you are. 2012 is almost here. Let’s make some magic happen, again. And again. And again.
Here is the video wrap-up from our Colorado rep, Chainsaw Charles Masque.
