It’s been pretty grim and low tide out there everywhere (minus the northwest) this season. Curtis Woodman has been making it happen this season. This video will a test to that. Good on ya, Curtis. Snowboarding to Operation Ivy will get you mightily stoked too. Curtis shot this video in Chile, Montana and Washington state. Ride the white wave. Ride the white wave like Curtis.

vampirate surfboards.

Ozzy Wright moved to Narrabeen. Mark Gnech lived across the street and was shaping rad boards out of his garage. Soon Mark began making boards for Ozzy. Ozzy was instantly a fan. They decided to launch Vampirate Surfboards together thru Santa Cruz. These boards are made out of Santa Cruz’s PowerLyte Technology. They are indestructible and will probably out live you. Take these things out for a beating.

The Gravedigger: These little boards are amazing. I ride mine as a 5’2, it’s the shortest board I’ve ever owned, but with all that meat, it still paddles insane. I love how low you can get riding these things. You can do these big grabrail cutbacks and your crunched up in a ball just flying, then you can hang five in the tube. Can definitely make a tiny wave way more enjoyable, but the challenge of riding these in some overhead stuff is insane. They plane around the longest sections and it just feels like you’re a cannonball flying down the face, very, very fun – Ozzy Wright

Woke up in Fresno County the other day. We were there to snowboard. Snowboard in Fresno County? Yup. China Peak Ski Resort is the spot to be exact.

We were there with next year’s 2012/2013 Santa Cruz Snowboards. Looking sick. Simpsons Snowboards, too.

The art department over here at NHS decided to throw an art show. They invited the whole company to participate. We all got together to drink beer, eat free sushi, chocolate chip cookies and drink pabst blue ribbon.

Headed north last week to Sacramento. The Golden Bear of Cal Expo awaited me. This bear kicks some major ass.
